Chievo president Luca Campedelli has promised his side will go all out against Juventus.
Juve travel to Verona trailing Serie A leaders AC Milan by six points, and will be keen to reduce or at the very least maintain that gap.
Chievo, meanwhile, have different priorities, and talk within the camp is still of avoiding relegation.
Stefano Pioli's side currently lie 12th, five points clear of the drop zone after defeats at Bologna and Lecce, but are unbeaten in their last five games at the Stadio Marc' Antonio Bentegodi.
Campedelli admits the arrival of Juve, coached by former Chievo boss Luigi Del Neri, presents a challenge but has vowed the hosts will give their all for three points.
"Without a doubt, it is a difficult match," said Campedelli. "We will try with all our might to win.
"We play at home and we want do well for the fans. We will try to give them this gift.
"We lost two important games at Bologna and Lecce - two teams that like us are battling to avoid the drop.
"I hope my side will react in the best way.
"Usually my players do and, when you face a top team, it's always special."
Juve head into the game on the back of Thursday's 1-1 draw against Manchester City in their final Europa League clash.
While the Turin giants did not progress in that competition, at least they finished it with a good result.
Del Neri will return to his former employers with his side unbeaten in 12 league games.
Last weekend's 2-1 triumph over Lazio allowed Juve to join Lazio and Napoli on 30 points.
"We cannot forget that every game is worth three points," said Juve captain Alessandro Del Piero.
