Rangers vs. Inverness
Rangers will go into this home game with some defensive problems, with Madjid Bougherra suspended, Sasa Papac ruled out with a groin problem and Steven Whittaker doubtful with a bruised toe it means on loan Ricky Foster will come in on one of the full back positions, and that we also may see Andy Webster in a Rangers jersey, a rare viewing.
It is going to be interesting to see if we actually see Webster come in for a game, or if we have to place McCulloch in a different position again. There is also a chance we could see another one of our promising youths that have came up from the Murray Park ranks. We could see either Darren Cole or Gregg Wylde play in a full back position with Foster playing on the other.
With Nikica Jelavic back and Kenny Miller on the verge of leaving, Kyle Lafferty has to grab his chance in his preferred position and claim his place in the starting 11 for the next run of tough fixtures. Jamie Ness, who has brought a new thing to the team, is a sure too start after his great recent form most likely alongside the versatile Lee McCulloch, unless he is dropped back, which hopefully is an unchanged midfield.
With Steven Naismith coming back into the picture, it begs the question will Miller be played in this game. Against Hamilton it was clear for all too see he had a lot on his mind, and he was a passenger for most of the game and did very little and left the crowd very frustrated.
Inverness come into this game on the back of 7 games without a win but have already been too Ibroxand Celtic Park and took points off both teams. However, the highlanders come to Ibrox with a better away record than they have at home. Jonny Hayes, who has been in outstanding form this season for Inverness remains doubtful with Gavin Morrision, Kenny Gillet and Kevin McCann all ruled out.
Striker Adam Rooney, who has been linked with clubs since his recent run of form of 11 goals in 21 games for Inverness is one the makeshift Rangers defence will have to watch for all of the game. The youngster shows great composure in front goal and if given the chance, could make us pay.
