April 2004 was the last time Everton managed to beat Spurs at Goodison Park and another defeat tonight could see them in massive relegation trouble, whilst a seemingly unusual defeat for Spurs could put outside of the top four, should Chelsea get a result at Bottom side Wolves in a game that is probably harder than it looks on paper.

Everton have had a hugely disappointing season and it is their home form that is the biggest worry, with only two wins (Liverpool 2-0, Stoke 1-0) from their nine games with ten goals scored and twelve conceded. Add that to a record on one win (Man City away) in ten games since the Stoke game and it is looking really worrying for David Moyes at a time where there is little in the kitty to invest in new players and the possibility of losing Steven Pienaar for little or nothing this month, perhaps to Spurs.

To add to Everton`s woes, they will be without Phil Jagielka with a thigh strain and leading scorer, Tim Cahill who has joined the Australian squad at the Asian Cup in Qatar, whilst both John Heitinga and Seamus Coleman are doubts for the game. Whether this will force Moyes to revert to a 4-4-2 with two of Saha, Beckford or even Stephen Pienaar forming an attack or bring in either Bilyaletdinov or Rodwell into midfield and retaining their preferred 4-5-1, I don`t know, but Moyes could certainly do with some inspiration, but it isn`t obvious where it could come from.

Saying that I would never back against Everton to pull off a shock result when it is least expected, as we saw with their comfortable win at Eastlands, but worryingly, if results go against them tonight, they could find themselves in the relegation three or at least very much amongst a huge fight for survival.

Spurs will be hoping that Alan Hutton and William Gallas recover from injuries sustained against Fulham, but with Corluka and Bassong on standby, there is hardly a panic in the Spurs camp, as both are more than capable of stepping in and making the side just as strong and competitive. Robbie Keane is the only other doubt on top of the longer term injuries of King, Huddlestone, O`Hara, Cudicini and the unregistered Woodgate.

I have a feeling that Harry will save any changes until the weekends FA Cup tie against Charlton, therefore I would expect to see a side of Gomes, Hutton(Corluka) Dawson, Gallas (Bassong), BAE, Lennon, Palacios, Modric, Bale and Crouch. The only debatable decisions aside from the injury doubts, may be JJ for Wilson and Pav for Crouch, but I have a feeling that we will see the combative nature of Palacios and the a real threat of Crouch win the fight for selection...
