Europa League
CSKA Moscow vs PAOK Preview

CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutski is hoping his side can find their shooting boots against PAOK in Tuesday's Europa League clash.

In the first leg of the last-32 tie a week ago, the Russian side secured a 1-0 win in Greece thanks to Tomas Necid`s strike.

But the game could have already been over had CSKA been more ruthless in front of goal, and Slutski wants them to take their chances this time around.

The solitary goal was not in keeping with their goal-laden form in the group stages of the competition, and Slutski told www.uefa.com: "We would love to keep up last year's average, but at the moment it is just a statistic with little relevance to what is happening now.

"What I didn't like (in the first leg) was our finishing. Had it been better, we would have felt much calmer now.

"They (PAOK) defended deep and tried to score on the break in all the away matches that we saw, but they are in a different situation now.

"I don't expect them to pour forward from the first minute, but strict defensive tactics would not make sense."

The return to training of Brazil striker Vagner Love has given Slutski a boost ahead of the game, and defender Deividas Semberas believes a hostile atmosphere will also give CSKA a lift.

"It was predictable that the first match after a long break would be difficult, especially in Greece in front fans like PAOK's." he said.

"But our support will be no less impressive; our fans can be even louder than that."

PAOK are still handily placed in the Greek Super League despite a run of three games without a win, but coach Ioakim Havon acknowledges they face an uphill battle to qualify.

"Firstly, there is the artificial pitch and the freezing conditions, neither of which we are used to," he said.

"Secondly, the mental condition of our players.

"CSKA are clear favourites because they are the strong team that won the first leg, but we are still eager to play our game and try to win."
