A banged-up Rangers crew head into St. Mirren Park on Sunday with Maurice Edu and company looking to shake off their Scottish Cup disappointment.
Edu looks likely to start again for the Light Blues who are loaded with injuries at arguably the worst time of the season.
In addition to their domestic cup competitions, Rangers are still just five points out of first in the Scottish Premier League and are already through to the final 16 of the Europa League where they will face PSV Eindhoven.
The past two weeks have also seen Rangers experience a rollercoaster of results with two losses to Celtics bookending an emphatic SPL win over St. Johnstone and their Europa League triumph against Sporting Lisbon.
In an effort to keep his players focused on the tasks at hand, Rangers boss Walter Smith had banned all use of social media by the players much ot the chagrin of Edu's 400,000-plus Twitter followers.
The head man has also forbade his players from late night ventures to nightclubs arguing that anyone suiting up in a Rangers uniforn needs to be focused on soccer rather than spirits.
St. Mirren come into the match with one of the more weaker defenses in the SPL with 44 goals allowed.
Rangers arrival El Hadji Diouf should have ample opportunity to net his first league goal since landing at Ibrox during the transfer window.
Rangers will be without Kirk Broadfoot, Vladimir Weiss, Lee McCulloch, Jamie Ness, Sasa Papac, Kyle Lafferty and Nikica Jelavic while St. Mirren will be missing David Barron and Garry Brady.
