Stuttgart vs. Benfica - Preview
Stuttgart is in very bad position in the league and are taking this cup as pressure-free entertainment. It can be some paralel between them and WHU in UK, where they are battaling against the drop, but have good cup-run (domestic but still). When pressure is off they play better than in the league. It was the case in first leg when after taking the lead they were beaten by Benfica by 2 goals in last 20 min.
Benfica on the other hand is second in the league, have nice run there. Main thing for this bet is this team and their coach bad record vs German teams. Benfica have never won there in 18 games (0-6-12), Mr. Jorge Jesus is 0-1-2 in Germany as a coach. His sole positive result was when he eliminated Hertha on the same level of this competion last year.Hertha was in nearly the same league situation as Stuttgart is now.
All in all I dont think that in current league situation Stuttgart will win and progress, but I do predict that they will farewell this year EL edition with heads up after 'hard fought' draw.
